I love the dichotomies found in printmaking.

It is an art with a rich history, dating back to carved reliefs from 4000 B.C., and yet it is relatively unknown and misunderstood in the 21st century. Printmaking demands technical knowledge and skill combined with rigorous step-by step processes, while it allows for an incredible range of experimentation and expression, as well as the wonder of the "happy accident."

I also love the challenges--and privileges--of being a wife and mother, and an emerging artist living and working in Winnipeg, MB and Victoria, BC.
